Sauteed Swiss Chard

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 small onion (diced)
  • 1 bunch swiss chard. Remove the stems and center ribs and chop together. Coarsely chop leaves separately.
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • salt to taste

In a large skillet, melt butter and oil together over medium-high heat. Stir in onion and garlic and cook until fragrant. Add the stems and white wine. Simmer until stems begin to soften (5 min). Stir in chard leaves and cook until wilted. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with lemon juice and parmesan, season to taste.
